'Dirtbag': Conor McGregor's former sparring partner resumes attack

"This guy is one of the biggest dirtbags I've ever met in my life - bar none", Malignaggi said Monday on The MMA Hour. I'd just have other sparring partners work my corner. But it's not really what you expect. When they brought McGregor to the location for the first time, eager to show him the mural, McGregor was reportedly uneasy by the unusual setting and people he didn't recognise. In a token of good faith, I wanted to go over there and stay with the sparring partners. Again, I thought to myself, 'This guy thinks he's going to stop me tonight. I hit hard. Manny Pacquiao and (Marcos) Maidana hit hard. "When you see their commercial, hear (the participants) talk about the gate.it's all about money", said Oscar De La Hoya, the fight promoter and former six-division world champion staging a competing Southland fight card that same night and the September 16 middleweight title match between Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin.

Malignaggi didn't like being used by McGregor as a tool to make the Irishman look better. "He's had his rest day, he's refocused, now it's time to get back to the bread and butter of things", says Terry.

"We had 12 rounds of sparring last night", he explained on his podcast, Paulie Malignaggi: From Brooklyn To The World. "McGregor's legendary status in UFC, and the intricacies of the sport itself, are two incredibly important stories to tell - I'm sure Dan will do that brilliantly". Malignaggi said McGregor actually did well early on, but he started to fade in the middle rounds.

"I get to the gym the next day and he has all sorts of dignitaries there; [former UFC CEO] Lorenzo Fertita, [UFC president] Dana White, and his agent", Malignaggi continued.

"The thing about the alleged knock down, it was during one of his worst moments". "He pushed me down on the floor to try and catch a break". He said that McGregor disrespected him in the dressing room and housed him and the other sparring partners in dumpy accommodations.

"He knows it. More importantly than me knowing it, he knows it". Can he even go a full 12 rounds? After the leak, Malignaggi demanded video be posted of the session.

"My problem with Conor is his arrogance", Malignaggi said.

"Would I fight him?" I don't need to be around these people.

However, Malignaggi didn't get the response he was hoping for. "In all my training camps, I was blown away, the treatment this guy gave everybody". I was angry but I knew I'd come prepared. We got some good ones in those last two rounds.
