The Miss USA 2017 will be announced in just a few hours in a grand finale ceremony that will be held at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

Philippine-born Raquel Wellentin is representing the state of North Dakota in this year's competition. (Remember: Miss USA takes one victor from every state plus Washington, D.C.) The pageant victor will earn the title, an apartment in New York City and a variety of other perks during her reign, plus the opportunity to compete at Miss Universe. The women, who are representing Florida, North Dakota, Hawaii, Connecticut and New Jersey in the pageant, are all US citizens.

"As Miss USA, I would love to be able to be that inspiration for our immigrant community", said Linnette De Los Santos, who emigrated with her family from the Dominican Republic when she was 5. Trump sued both networks, eventually settling and selling the pageant to talent management company WME/IMG.
